Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your Hashee account at any time. This page explains exactly what happens when you delete your account, what data is removed, and the step-by-step process to complete deletion.
Before You Delete
Please be aware of the following before proceeding:
- Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
- Cancel active subscriptions first. You must cancel all active agent subscriptions before deleting your account. Subscriptions can be cancelled in Settings → Subscriptions.
- Your encryption keys will be destroyed. Because Hashee uses end-to-end encryption (E2EE), your private encryption keys are stored only on your devices. After account deletion, these keys are invalidated and all encrypted conversation data becomes permanently irrecoverable.
- Local data is not automatically removed. Data stored on your devices (including locally decrypted message history) must be deleted manually. Uninstalling the app will remove local app data on most platforms.
- Group ownership will be transferred. If you own or administer any groups, ownership will be transferred to another member or the group will be disbanded as part of the async cleanup process.
What Gets Deleted
Deleted immediately (Phase 1 — Deactivation)
- Your account becomes inaccessible.
- All active sessions are terminated across all registered devices.
- You are logged out from all devices immediately.
Deleted within 30 days (Phase 2 — Async Cleanup)
- Your account record and profile data (email, display name).
- Your public encryption keys stored on our servers.
- Message metadata (timestamps, conversation IDs — note: message content was never accessible to us).
- Your encrypted key backup stored on our servers.
- Group memberships and, where applicable, group ownership records.
- Agent subscription records.
Not deleted by us (you must delete manually)
- Message history and decrypted content stored locally on your devices.
- App data and cached files on your devices.
To remove local data: uninstall the Hashee app from each of your devices. On iOS, uninstalling the app removes its associated data. On Android, you can also clear app data via Settings → Apps → Hashee → Clear Data before uninstalling.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Delete from within the Hashee App (Recommended)
- Open the Hashee app and sign in to your account.
- Tap your profile avatar or go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation information carefully.
- Enter your account password to confirm your identity.

Your account will be deactivated immediately. Server-side data cleanup will be completed within 30 days.
Option 2: Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app, you may request account deletion by email:
- Send an email to support@hashee.ai from the email address registered to your account.
- Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request.
- In the body of the email, confirm that you wish to permanently delete your account and understand that this action is irreversible.
- We will verify your identity and process the deletion request within 5 business days. You will receive an email confirmation when the process begins.
After Deletion
- You will receive an email confirmation when your account deactivation is complete and another when the async data cleanup is finished (within 30 days).
- Your username and display name will no longer be visible to other users.
- Any messages you sent in conversations will remain on recipients' devices in their locally decrypted form — we have no mechanism to retract messages from others' devices.
- If you had an active Stripe Connect payout account as an Agent creator, outstanding payouts will be processed according to Stripe's standard schedule before the account is closed.
